Heavy naphtha catalytic reforming feedstock supply
01 Product

Heavy naphtha supply overview

ALGHAF MARINE FZCO supplies bulk heavy naphtha for qualified refiners, petrochemical buyers and gasoline-production programs under FOB and CIF terms.

Heavy naphtha is commonly evaluated as catalytic reformer feed according to distillation range, sulfur, paraffin / naphthene / aromatic composition, density and other cargo-specific assay parameters.

Non-sanctioned origin supply is available for selected cargo programs, with the final origin, assay, loading location and logistics structure confirmed for each transaction.

Heavy naphtha for catalytic reforming

Heavy naphtha is commonly evaluated as catalytic reformer feed for the production of higher-octane reformate and related refinery streams.

Reformer economics depend on the actual cargo composition, including distillation range, sulfur, paraffin / naphthene / aromatic distribution and other refinery-specific quality requirements.

Buyers requiring a specific reformer-feed profile should state the critical assay parameters when requesting a commercial indication.

Why heavy naphtha specifications vary by source

Heavy naphtha characteristics vary according to crude slate, refinery configuration, fractionation cut, hydrotreating status and production route.

Two cargoes marketed as heavy naphtha may therefore differ materially in sulfur, distillation range, aromatics and other compositional parameters.

Commercial suitability must therefore be evaluated against the cargo-specific assay rather than the generic product name alone.

02 Grades

Gasoline production & refinery applications

Gasoline production

Heavy naphtha may be processed through refinery units to produce higher-octane gasoline blend components, subject to refinery configuration and feed quality.

Refinery processing

Additional refinery processing routes may be evaluated where the cargo assay meets the buyer's technical requirements.

Petrochemical applications

Selected heavy naphtha streams may also be suitable for contract-specific petrochemical applications depending on assay and plant configuration.

03 Origin

Non-sanctioned origin heavy naphtha

Non-sanctioned origin heavy naphtha is available for selected refinery and petrochemical feedstock programs where buyer compliance requirements, destination rules or transaction structure require alternative origin options.

Available loading and execution locations depend on current allocation, product assay, destination and shipment window.

The applicable origin is confirmed through the commercial and cargo documentation for the individual transaction rather than inferred from a generic loading region.

04 Specification

Heavy naphtha specifications & cargo assay

Heavy naphtha is not defined by one universal specification. Final contractual quality is determined by the applicable cargo assay, CoA and SPA.

Parameter Contractual basis
Distillation range Contract-specific IBP / FBP
Density at 15 °C Cargo-specific CoA
Sulfur Contract-specific limit
Composition profile PNA / PONA or equivalent assay data where required
Aromatics Cargo-specific assay
Naphthenes Cargo-specific assay where required
Paraffins Cargo-specific assay where required
Olefins Measured where contractually required
Contaminants According to buyer / SPA requirements
Appearance Clear liquid, subject to contractual specification
05 Delivery

Heavy naphtha cargo size & logistics

Cargo size depends on origin, allocation, loading program, vessel structure and destination.

Enquiries from 5,000 MT may be evaluated where the applicable cargo and logistics program supports the requested parcel.

Final parcel size, loading window and operational requirements are confirmed for the individual transaction.

FOB & CIF heavy naphtha supply

FOB

Heavy naphtha may be offered FOB from the loading location available for the applicable cargo program. Final port, laycan, parcel size and operational requirements are stated in the commercial offer and SPA.

CIF

CIF supply may be evaluated for approved destinations. Final pricing reflects origin, assay, quantity, loading point, freight, insurance, destination and shipment window.

Loading locations

Loading locations are transaction-specific and subject to current allocation.

Quality control & independent inspection

Final cargo quality is confirmed through the contractual specification, cargo-specific assay / CoA and the inspection procedure defined in the SPA.

Independent inspection may be performed by SGS, Bureau Veritas, CCIC or another agreed independent inspection company at the contractual milestone.

Historical or unrelated inspection documents are not presented as proof of a current contractual cargo.

Heavy naphtha frequently asked questions

Is non-sanctioned origin heavy naphtha available?

Yes. ALGHAF MARINE FZCO can offer non-sanctioned origin heavy naphtha for selected cargo programs and destinations, subject to assay, allocation, shipment window and transaction-specific compliance review.

What is heavy naphtha?

Heavy naphtha is a petroleum fraction commonly used as refinery feedstock, particularly for catalytic reforming and gasoline-production processes. Its suitability depends on the actual distillation cut and cargo assay.

How does heavy naphtha differ from light naphtha?

Heavy naphtha generally has a higher boiling range and is more commonly associated with catalytic reforming, while light naphtha is more closely associated with steam cracking and isomerization. Final use depends on the cargo-specific assay and refinery configuration.

Why is heavy naphtha used as reformer feed?

Heavy naphtha can provide a suitable feed for catalytic reforming where its distillation range, sulfur level and composition profile meet the refinery's technical requirements.

Can heavy naphtha be used as finished gasoline?

No. Heavy naphtha is generally a refinery feedstock rather than finished motor gasoline. It normally requires further refinery processing before contributing to a finished gasoline blend.

Why do sulfur limits matter for heavy naphtha?

Sulfur can affect downstream refinery catalysts and processing requirements. The acceptable sulfur level therefore depends on the buyer's refinery configuration and contractual feed specification.

Do you guarantee one fixed heavy naphtha composition year-round?

No. Heavy naphtha composition can vary by crude slate, refinery configuration, production route and cargo program. Final contractual quality is confirmed through the applicable assay / CoA and SPA.

Can heavy naphtha be supplied under FOB and CIF terms?

Yes. FOB and CIF structures may be evaluated depending on origin, allocation, quantity, destination and shipment window.

How do I request a heavy naphtha commercial quotation?

Provide the required quantity, destination, delivery basis, shipment window and any required distillation, sulfur or composition parameters. Following qualification, ALGHAF MARINE FZCO can evaluate the applicable cargo program and commercial terms.

How can a buyer verify a petroleum supplier?

Buyers should verify the legal identity of the contractual counterparty, official corporate communication channels, KYC/KYB information, transaction documentation and the contractual inspection procedure. Cargo-specific operational and inspection documents are provided according to the milestones defined in the SPA.

Can you provide previous Bills of Lading or inspection reports as proof of supply?

ALGHAF MARINE FZCO does not disclose confidential documents from unrelated customer transactions as proof of a new cargo. Cargo-specific documentation, including independent inspection documents where applicable, is provided according to the milestones defined in the SPA.

Can I receive a fresh SGS report before the transaction is contracted?

A fresh inspection report relates to a specific contractual heavy naphtha cargo. Independent inspection is therefore performed at the applicable milestone defined in the SPA. Historical SGS reports from unrelated cargoes are not presented as proof of current supply.

How are transaction funding instructions issued?

Transaction-specific funding instructions are generated only within the ALGHAF MARINE FZCO Trading Portal after the applicable contractual stage. Wallet addresses are not issued through WhatsApp, Telegram, brokers or informal correspondence.
