What is VLSFO?
VLSFO (very low sulfur fuel oil) is marine fuel with a maximum sulfur content of 0.5% by mass, in line with IMO 2020. It is used for main and auxiliary engines where low-sulfur bunker fuel is required (e.g. emission control areas or global cap). VLSFO meets ISO 8217 and is supplied from Russian refineries via Black Sea ports.

What is VLSFO?

IMO 2020 limits sulfur in marine fuel to 0.5% globally (or 0.1% in emission control areas). VLSFO at 0.5% max meets the global cap and is used where compliant bunker fuel is required.
