Marine Gas Oil MGO Supplier — 0.1% Sulfur Marine Fuel

Non-Sanctioned Origin Available · FOB · CIF · STS / bunkering where applicable · UAE / Fujairah · ARA / Rotterdam · Mediterranean · Singapore / Southeast Asia OPL · Black Sea

ALGHAF MARINE FZCO is a marine gas oil supplier for qualified bunker and cargo buyers. MGO bulk supply is offered with Non-Sanctioned Origin available, typically requested as MGO 0.1% against the contracted marine distillate specification, under FOB and CIF, with STS where applicable. Fujairah, ARA / Rotterdam and other approved hubs may be used for execution, subject to allocation and shipment window.

Gasoil 0.1% sulfur is not automatically MGO. Industrial gasoil lives on the gasoil sheet. This page is the marine distillate product.

Origin & compliance

Non-sanctioned origin MGO is available for selected marine distillate programs. Final origin is transaction-specific. Execution in Fujairah, Rotterdam or Singapore does not by itself prove origin.

Loading or execution location does not by itself determine product origin. Each transaction remains subject to applicable counterparty, destination and sanctions-compliance review.

No standing stock, terminal or producer allocation is published on this page. Quantity, origin, specification and pricing are confirmed for the applicable transaction.

01 Product

Marine Gas Oil Supply

ALGHAF MARINE FZCO supplies marine gas oil for ship operators that need a distillate bunker in port, ECA and auxiliary service — not a residual blend. Typical MGO 0.1% RFQs are DMA-side: sulfur capped at 0.10% mass where that ECA / port limit is contracted, with the rest of the marine table written into the SPA.

Non-sanctioned origin MGO is available for selected programmes. Execution may be cargo, barge or STS. Industrial gasoil 0.1% is a different product sheet.

What Is Marine Gas Oil?

MGO is the distillate bunker operators burn in auxiliary engines, during manoeuvring, and inside emission-control areas where residual 0.50% VLSFO is not permitted unless a scrubber is fitted. The commercial nickname is MGO or MGO 0.1%. The contractual grade is usually ISO 8217 DMA.

DMA is a distillate with a low residual component. DMB (MDO) may allow more residual and a higher viscosity. The ISO grade in the SPA governs quality, not the market nickname.

02 Specification

Marine Gas Oil Specifications

Where ISO 8217 DMA is contracted, the table below is the typical marine RFQ discussion set. Limits follow the contracted ISO 8217 edition (currently ISO 8217:2024) and the cargo CoA. They are not a standing Alghaf analysis and not a firm offer.

MGO ISO 8217 DMA — typical discussion limits

Parameter Typical / limit (DMA discussion)
StandardISO 8217 DMA (edition as contracted; currently 2024)
Sulfur (MGO 0.1% / ECA)0.10% mass max where that commercial cap is written into the SPA
Density at 15 °Cmax 890.0 kg/m³
Viscosity at 40 °Cmax 6.000 mm²/s
Cetane indexmin 40
Flash pointmin 60.0 °C
Watermax 0.30% vol
Carbon residue (micro 10%)max 0.30% mass
Ashmax 0.010% mass
Pour point (winter / summer)max −6 °C / 0 °C
Lubricity (HFRR)max 520 μm where DMA lubricity is contracted
Hydrogen sulfidemax 2.00 mg/kg

MGO 0.1% is a commercial sulfur cap for ECA and many port calls. The ISO DMA sulfur column in the standard table is a separate figure. If the RFQ only says “MGO”, state whether 0.10% sulfur and DMA are both required.

MGO vs MDO

MGO is the DMA-side distillate. MDO is commonly DMB and may include a residual component. If the RFQ says marine diesel oil, the DMB table must be stated. Quality is defined by the contracted ISO grade, not the nickname. Marine Diesel Oil (MDO) sheet.

MGO vs VLSFO

VLSFO is a 0.50% sulfur residual blend for IMO 2020 open-sea use. MGO is a distillate, typically 0.10% sulfur for ECA, port and auxiliary use. They are not substitutes. See VLSFO 0.5%.

MGO vs Gasoil 0.1%

Both may share a 0.10% sulfur cap. Gasoil 0.1% is an industrial / power / heating sulfur grade. MGO must meet the marine distillate specification. Gasoil product sheet.

03 Origin

Non-Sanctioned Origin MGO

Non-sanctioned origin marine gas oil is available where buyer, vessel or destination rules require it. Origin is confirmed commercially. Hub names such as MGO Fujairah or marine gas oil Rotterdam describe possible execution, not origin certificates.

04 Delivery

Marine Gas Oil FOB & CIF Supply

Marine Gas Oil FOB Supply

FOB MGO may be evaluated from the distillate loading or barge point of the programme. DMA and the 0.10% sulfur cap, if required for ECA / port use, have to be named — “MGO” alone is not the table.

Marine Gas Oil CIF Supply

CIF MGO may be evaluated to approved marine destinations. This is distillate bunker cargo, not residual HSFO CIF and not industrial gasoil 0.1% unless that sheet is contracted.

Marine Gas Oil STS / Bunker Supply

STS or barge stems may be evaluated where operationally approved — typically auxiliary / manoeuvring / ECA distillate, not a residual stem. The ISO DMA table still has to sit in the SPA.

Marine Gas Oil Supply Hubs

UAE / Fujairah, ARA / Rotterdam, Mediterranean, Singapore / Southeast Asia OPL and Black Sea may be used for transaction-specific execution. MGO supplier Singapore or marine gas oil UAE are search phrases, not tank claims.

Marine gas oil frequently asked questions

What is marine gas oil (MGO)?

Marine gas oil is a marine distillate bunker fuel. In ISO 8217 terms it is commonly requested as DMA, typically with maximum sulfur of 0.10% for ECA and many port uses. MGO is not the same as industrial gasoil 0.1% unless the full marine specification is contracted.

What is the current price of MGO?

MGO 0.1% price, marine gas oil price and MGO bunker price are transaction-specific. They depend on specification, quantity, origin, supply hub, Incoterm, destination and shipment window. Indicative FOB Rotterdam barge history is available for market context and is not a firm ALGHAF MARINE FZCO offer.

What are the typical specifications of MGO?

Where DMA is contracted, typical discussion limits include sulfur 0.10% mass max for MGO 0.1% / ECA programmes, density max 890 kg/m³ at 15 °C, viscosity max 6.000 mm²/s at 40 °C, cetane index min 40, flash point min 60 °C, water max 0.30% vol and HFRR lubricity max 520 μm. The contracted ISO 8217 edition and cargo CoA govern. Values here are not a standing CoA.

Is non-sanctioned origin MGO available?

Yes. Non-sanctioned origin marine gas oil is available for selected bunker and cargo programs, subject to specification, allocation, destination and compliance review. Final origin is confirmed in the transaction documents.

Do you supply MGO FOB?

Yes. FOB MGO may be evaluated from the distillate loading or barge point. DMA and the 0.10% sulfur cap, if required for ECA / port use, have to be named.

Do you supply MGO CIF?

Yes. MGO CIF may be evaluated to approved marine destinations. This is distillate bunker cargo, not residual HSFO CIF and not industrial gasoil 0.1% unless that sheet is contracted.

Which supply hubs are available for MGO?

Execution may be structured through UAE / Fujairah, ARA / Rotterdam, Mediterranean, Singapore / Southeast Asia OPL, Black Sea and other approved locations, subject to allocation. This is not a published stock list.

What is the difference between MGO and MDO?

MGO is typically associated with ISO 8217 DMA (distillate marine, lower residual content). MDO is typically associated with DMB and may allow a higher residual component. The contracted ISO grade, not the market nickname, governs quality. DMB enquiries are covered on the Marine Diesel Oil (MDO) sheet.

How can I request a commercial offer for MGO?
